Ability in disability is in the mind set
You may know or have seen this man. He is a prominent Jos fixture and he could be seen directing traffic most times around terminus or West of Mines. He is neither a road traffic or a member of the armed forces or paramilitary, just a private citizen who has taken it upon himself to help make traffic flow in Jos easier for commuters while earning his daily bread from the good will of the commuters who decide to give him something out of their self will. He is totally paralyzed on both legs and revealed that his parents abandoned him at an early age due to his disability. But he does not see that as a deterent in life. Everyday he comes out for his volunteer work and can be seen gallant, resilient and tough as a nail directing traffic with grace and respect to passerbys. His life story is a testament to all that we can make a difference no matter our condition in life.
